The Association of Retired Police Officers, Andhra Pradesh (ARPOAP) is a registered, non-political and non-profit body that brings together retired officers of the Andhra Pradesh Police under one banner — to safeguard their welfare and dignity, to keep alive the bonds of service, and to stand by their families long after the uniform is hung up.
For a police officer, retirement marks the end of a demanding career of discipline, sacrifice and service to society — but it need not mean the end of purpose or fellowship. ARPOAP exists so that no officer who served the State walks that later chapter of life alone. Through mutual support, collective representation and a spirit of comradeship, the Association carries forward the values that its members upheld throughout their service.
Who We Are
Our membership is drawn from officers of every rank who have honourably retired from the Andhra Pradesh Police — from Constabulary and Sub-Inspectors to Deputy Superintendents, Superintendents, and senior IPS officers up to the rank of Director General of Police. United by a shared history of service, members work together across the State through a central governing body and a network of district units.
Our Purpose
The Association was founded on a simple conviction: that those who devoted their working lives to the safety of others deserve care, respect and a strong collective voice in return. Everything we do flows from that purpose — rendering practical assistance in times of need, representing members' legitimate interests before the authorities, and nurturing a community that continues to meet, remember and support one another.
What We Do
Welfare & Medical Relief
Assistance with medical treatment, hospitalisation, and emergency support for members and their dependents, including help in accessing health schemes and reimbursements.
Pension & Benefits Support
Guidance and follow-up on pension settlement, arrears, family pension, and other post-retirement entitlements, and representation where difficulties arise.
Family & Education Support
Help towards the education and employment of members' children, and support for families during hardship and bereavement.
Fellowship & Community
Meetings, gatherings and events across the State that keep members connected, allowing officers to exchange experiences and remain part of a living community.
Advisory & Representation
A collective voice before the Government and the Department on matters affecting retired officers, and objective advice drawn from decades of policing experience.
In Memoriam
Honouring departed members with dignity, and extending timely support and solidarity to the bereaved families they leave behind.
How We Are Organised
ARPOAP functions through a State-level Governing Body and an Executive Committee of elected office bearers, supported by district units spread across Andhra Pradesh — including Anantapur, Guntur, Kurnool, Nellore, Tirupati/Chittoor, Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam and West Godavari. Each unit brings the Association closer to its members, so that support and fellowship are always within reach.

Whether it is a helping hand in difficulty, a familiar gathering of old colleagues, or a strong voice raised on a common cause, the Association stands with its members and their families, in service and in fellowship, for life.
